Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. aged >/= 65 years 2. Hip fracture undergoing surgery 3. Anesthetic technique: regional anesthesia and pain controlled with peripheral nerve block+ IV opioid

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Allergy or contraindication to dexmedetomidine 2. Preoperative delirium 3. Underlying disease: neurovascular disease, e.g., stroke 4. Underlying disease: Phycosis 5. Anesthetic technique: general anesthesia
