Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient's symptom duration was at least 12 weeks 2. Conservative treatment failed 3. Disc herniation confirmed by MRI of lumbar spine
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Previous lumbosacral surgery 2. Disc herniation with spinal instability 3. Current steroid used 4. Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus 5. Allergy to triamcinolone, or medication in postoperative pain control protocol
