Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. neonates who are admitted in neonatal ward 2. neonates corrected age less than or equal 30 days 3. neonates who will undergo lumbar puncture
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. spine or spinal cord abnormality 2. has ventriculoperitoneal shunt or ventriculostomy in situ 3. previously underwent lumbar puncture 4. IVH grade II or above 5. patients who have contraindication for LP eg. increased intracranial pressure, skin infection at puncture site 6. platelet < 50,000/microliter 7. unstable vital signs 8. legal guardian unable to communicate in Thai
