Active video games (AVGs) are accepted as enjoyable exercising tools for rehabilitation. It offers a potential solution to improve adherence by increasing motivation levels in patients who require long-term rehabilitation sessions such as those with chronic ankle instability (CAI). Interventions

This experimental group will receive an active video game by using the Stepmania Coilmix which consist of 2 selective games including catch fish, and Russian block. Before starting, a physical therap

Age
7 Years to 12 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age range between 7-12 years old 2. Body mass index (BMI) between the 5th - 85th percentiles on the CDC growth chart 3. Have a history of unilateral ankle sprain and the initial sprain must have occurred at least 1 year prior to study enrollment 4. Having a recurrent ankle sprain more than 3 months prior to study enrollment 5. Having a feeling of giving way at least twice a year 6. The Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool-Youth (CAITY) score less than or equal 25

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Physical anomalies 2. Bilateral ankle instability 3. Having a history of previous surgeries of lower extremities 4. Having a history of fracture of lower extremities within 3 months prior to participation 5. Have a medical condition such as hearing problems, visual problems that cannot be corrected by using a lens 6. Current participation in other rehabilitation programs for the ankle joint.
