Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: morbidly obese patient with BMI > 32.5 kg/m2 or indicated for bariatric surgery, aged 18 to 65 years old and Malaysian nationality.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pre-existing thromboembolic disease (DVT or PE), underlying clotting disorders or deranged liver enzymes, on anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapy and pregnant patients were excluded.
