Conditions

Adult patients with obstructive sleep apnea and ankyloglossia obstructive sleep apnea, myofunctional therapy, tongue exercise, ankyloglossia, tongue tie, frenectomy, tongue strength, tongue endurance

Interventions

The patients in this group will receive myofunctional therapy and exercise instruction from one researcher. Then the patients will be instructed to do the exercise three times a day for 3 months.,The

Age
20 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients age 20-60 years 2. Patients who can understand Thai language either reading or listening 3. ASA Class I, II 4. Patients diagnosed with OSA in mild or moderate severity and suggested by the sleep specialist to receive myofunctional therapy 5. The lingual frenum that have been categorized to TRMR grade 2 to 4

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who undergo other OSA treatments 2. Patients who present with uncontrolled systemic diseases 3. Patients who present with mental retardation or psychiatric problem 4. Patients who present with connective tissue or muscular disorders 5. Patients who are diagnosed with severe obesity 6. Patients who have a history of frenectomy or myofunctional therapy 7. Patients who have a history of craniofacial trauma or oral and maxillofacial surgery (except extraction or surgical removal)
