Patients taking metformin 1000 mg once daily plus intermediate acting insulin (NPH) 0.1 unit per kg at bedtime ,Patients taking metformin 1000 mg plus glipizide 5 mg or pioglitazone 15 mg or sitaglipt

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients 2.patients with very high hemoglobin A1C (greater than or equal to nine percent) 3.patients with eGFR greater than or equal 45 mL

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.two types of hyperglycemic emergencies: diabetic ketoacidosis and hyperglycemic hyperosmolar syndrome 2.The patient is pregnant or breastfeeding 3.Patients with hemoglobinopathy
