Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: generalized chronic periodontitis patient with at least one degree II buccal furcation involvement on a maxillary molar that required periodontal surgery treatment
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: patient with the following characteristics: root caries at furcation area metal crowns in the radiation area cervical amalgam restoration during the course of pregnancy systemic contraindications to surgery
