Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Healthy female and male with age in a range of 30-60 years old 2. All skin types (normal, dry, oily and combination skin). 3. Having a face skin type classified by Fitzpatrick scale in the range 3-5. 4. Having noticeable dark spots and dull skin. 5. Be able to read, communicate, and write Thai language. 6. Willing to refrain from using other facial skin nourishing products that had properties to reduce dark spots, reduce skin tone, or brighten the skin during the study.(Volunteers were allowed to use their routine facial products that were without any mentioned properties but not allowed to change the product during the study period). 7. Willing to participate in this study after being informed relevant information including project objectives, methodology, possible risks, results, the potential impact on the volunteers

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Having any wound or scar on the assessed area of the face. 2. Having allergic history to any ingredients in products that aimed to reduce dark spots, reduce skin tone, help brighten the skin or any counter brand cosmetics. 3. Having history of eczema or psoriasis in any part of the body within 6 months before enrollment in this study. 4. Having history of skin cancer within 1 year before enrollment in this study. 5. Having history of using steroid drug, antibiotic, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug or antihistamine drug within 3 days before enrollment in this study. 6. Having history of using topical medicine on the face during the 3 weeks before enrollment in this study. 7. Having underlying disease that requires continued medication or applying on the face. 8. Having history of major operation within 1 year 9. Pregnancy or lactation 10. Having history of regular smoking or regular drinking ( Regular smoking was defined as smoking cigarette at least 1 piece per day and regular drinking was defined as consuming alcohol at least 1 glass or 250 ml every day.) 11. Having history of participating in previous clinical trial for facial area testing within 3 months before enrollment in this study or in another current trial.
