Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Selection criteria included knee OA according to the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), 45-85 years of age, grade 1 to 4 of radiographic knee OA according to the Kellgren-Lawrence system, body mass index (BMI) < 30, > 90-degree arc of motion, < 10-degree anatomical knee deformity in the coronal plane, and no skin lesion around the affected knee.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included inflammatory arthritis, previous knee surgery, knee pain with an antalgic gait, and thrombocytopenia. In addition, all recruited patients had a 2-week washing-out period for any pain killers or no non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), as well as joint supplements
