The patient represented a hopeless prognosis of the maxillary or mandibular single molar tooth caused by root fracture, endodontic failure, or un-restorable tooth and requested single molar tooth extraction with immediate implant placement. Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient had a health condition and could undergo oral surgical procedures with computer-guided surgery under local anesthesia. 2. Patient represented hopeless prognosis of the maxillary or mandibular single molar tooth caused by root fracture, endodontic failure, or un-restorable tooth. 3. The tooth socket following extraction presented intact buccal and lingual walls
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients had any systemic disease or any medications that might affect soft or hard tissue wound healing. 2. Smokers 3. Patients were pregnant at the time of recruitment. 4. Alcoholism or chronic drug abuse 5. Mental disorder 6. Mucosal diseases such as lichen planus 7. History of local radiation therapy in head and neck area or history of chemotherapy 8. Bone pathology caused by a benign or malignant tumor 9. Contraindication of immediate implant placement such as chronic periodontitis, insufficient bone volume apically from the extracted socket, an acute infection that presence of purulent exudates at the time of extraction 10. After implant installation, the insertion torque value was less than 10 Ncm.
