Interventions

Post-meal spot marching exercise (PMSME)
Participants in the experimental group performed spot marching with hip flexion of about 70 degrees, swinging the arm to about 90 degrees (using masking tape to mark the required height on the wall) f

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus 1 to 10 years before enrolling in this study 2. Aged 50-70 years 3. Body mass index (BMI) 18.5-29.9 kg/m2 4. Able to understand and follow instructions and research protocols 5. Sedentary behaviors was characterized by an energy expenditure less than 1.5 metabolic equivalents (METs) 6. Receiving diabetes medications to control blood glucose level

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Fasting blood sugar (FBS less than100 mg/dL and/or FBS more than 300 mg/dL according to medical records 2. Blood pressure (BP) less than 90/60 mmHg and/or BP more than 140/90 mmHg according to medical records 3. Having diabetic foot ulcer by physical examination 4. Having a diagnosis of muscular disease, neuromuscular diseases, and heart disease according to medical records 5. Having a history of artificial joint replacement at the knee, hip, shoulder joint, or spine within 6 months by subjective examination. 6. Having pain at the trunk and upper or lower extremities (VAS more than 3) 7. MNSI questionnaire scores more than 7 and examination scores more than 2.5 8. TUG test more than 12 seconds
