Conditions

Myopic patients with axial length greater than 25.0 mm. Age older than 20 (refractive stability). Candidates for cataract extraction or refractive lens exchange with otherwise normal ocular examination. optical biometry phacoemulsification IOL power calculation myopia

Interventions

The study will include 30 myopic eyes that will be divided into two groups
Group 1 includes the 30 myopic eyes with IOL implantation using the LENSTAR AL and Holladay 1 formula. ,Group 2 includes the same 30 myopic eyes with IOL power back- calculated using the Koch-Wang mo

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Myopic patients with axial length greater than 25.0 mm, 2. Candidates for cataract extraction or refractive lens exchange with otherwise normal ocular examination.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Too dense cataract (axial length cannot be measured by optical biometry), 2. Eyes with myopic macular degenerations, 3. Associated retinal detachment , 4. Associated corneal opacity .
