Interventions

The patients will be allowed to have sugar-free candies within 1 hour before esophagogastroduodenoscopy,The patients in this group will strictly adhere to stanadard internaltional NPO guideline.

Age
18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age not less than 18 years and not more than 70 years 2. ASA 1-3 3. Scheduled for esophagogastroduodenoscopy 4. Preoperative NPO according to standard international guideline 5. Understand Thai and agree to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. BMI > 30kg/m2 2. The patients with full stomach 3. The patients with ascites 4. The patients who have type2 DM

Gastric volume and pH at the time of esophagogastroduodenoscopy By measyring the gastric volume in ml and the gastric pH by using pH meter
