Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 15 to 65 years who scheduled for elective thoracic surgery under general anesthesia with one-lung ventilation technique, ASA physical status (ASA PS) I to III, and required a LDLT

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: body mass index (BMI) more than 30 kg/m2, history of undergone operation or radiation around neck, larynx, and thoracic cavity, airway stenosis or distorted airway, risk or history of difficult intubation and aspiration, and patients who had the outer diameter of trachea measured by ultrasound less than 15.9 mm or more than 21.1 mm.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
an appropriate LDLT size selected from the outer diameter of trachea by ultrasound measurement after successful of DLT intubation and test for leakage by underwater seal percentage

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
quality of lung collapse, satisfaction of lung collapse, and postoperative complications of a LDLT within 24-hour after start one-lung ventilation and open chest, post operative with in 24 hour percentage
