Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 20 - 80 years 2. Undergoing general anesthesia with ETT 3. Elective surgery 4. ASA physical status I or II 5. No history of fentanyl allergy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. In OR, at the time of induction ( BP greater than or equal to 180/110 mmHg) 2. Expected difficult airway 3. BMI greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2 4. Fentanyl was given within 4 hours of admission to the study 5. Ischemic heart disease, arrhythmia 6. Increased ICP 7. Creatinine clearance less than 30 ml/min
