Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: overweight/obese men, aged 18-40 years, BMI 23.0-29.9 kg.m2, fasting blood glucose < 100 mg/dL, cholesterol < 200 mg/dL, triglyceride < 150 mg/dL

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: history of diabetes mellitus or insulin resistance, use of medications or supplements interfering glucose homeostasis, lipid metabolism or inflammatory levels, allergy to the study meal, moderate and intense physical activity, or regularly smoking
