Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All participants: 1. Age at least 18 years old at the time of recruitment 2. Able to communicate in the local languages (Karen and Burmese) 3. Able and willing to provide written informed consent for study participation IDI participants: 1. Patients who have completed a primaquine treatment regimen for P. vivax infection previously. FGD participants: 1. Health care providers experienced in the treatment of P. vivax malaria. 2. Community leaders (non-medical) who are involved directly in their community's affairs and participate in local groups.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: All participants: 1 Unable or unwilling to contribute to the study activities in a competent manner 2 If the investigator AND another member of the study team decides the participant should be excluded (i.e., if they are unwell) 3. When a conflict of interest is present (e.g. the participant is well known to the study team member who will be conducting the interview or group discussion)
