Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.The 65 year-old or older patients 2.Expected to stay in SICU for more than 24 hours 3.Hemodynamic stable 4.Respiratory system stability
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Inability to walk without assistance before acute ICU illness (use of a cane or walkers were not excluded) 2. Currently on prednisone > 20 mg/day at least for 2 weeks 3. Neuromuscular disease 4. Acute stroke 5. Increase intracranial pressure 6. Limb amputation 7. Hyperactive delirium
