Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: First phase 1. lower secondary school students aged 11-16 years Second phase 1. participants had to report mild to moderate depression levels, defined as a PHQ-A score between 5-14. 2. the participant and at least one parent or legal guardian had to provide written, informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: First phase 1. not completing the questionnaire Second phase 1. individuals with a history of psychotic diagnoses. 2. were under psychiatric treatment. 3. participants who could not participate throughout the whole intervention were excluded.
