thirsty vomiting pain score anastomotic leakage early feeding appendectomy

Interventions

following the operation&#44
patients were randomized with a block of 4 and allocated to be conventional feeding at 24 hours compared with early feeding at 4 hours following an appendectomy. following the appendectomy operation&#
patients will be allocated to control and intervention groups. the control group will get water(10ml/kg) per oral at 24 hours following the operations. The intervention group will get water at 4 hours
abdominal distension&#44
firm time of defecation and passing flatus&#44
frequency of ambulation&#44
thirsty and hungry level&#44
nausea and vomiting&#44
pain score&#44
length of the hospital stay&#44
pathological report&#44
surgical site infection and intra abdominal collection. patients will be evaluated twice a day with scoring chart and rating scale. ,following the operation&#44

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: age less than 15 years old acute appendicitis post appendectomy purse string suture the stump

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: sepsis rupture appendicitis
