Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult (more than or equal to 18 years old) 2. Admitted to internal medicine ward and ICU of Siriraj hospital during 2008-2018 3. Diagnosis as hypoxic hepatitis (defined by AST or ALT more than or equal to 20 times of upper normal limit and has been exclude other condition e.g. drug induced, chemical or toxic-related liver injury, or acute viral injury

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Drug induced, chemical or toxic-related liver injury defined by 1.1. Diagnosis by physician (in consider of history of risk, dose, and duration) or 1.2. History of paracetamol intake more than or equal to 150 mg/kg/day or 1.3. Paracetamol level in toxic level of nomogram 2. Acute viral injury defined by 2.1. anti-HAV IgM positive or 2.2. anti-HBc IgM positive or 2.3. Recent conversion of anti-HCV from negative to positive concurrent with HCV RNA positive 3. History of liver surgery (including resection and liver transplantation)
