Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age above 18 years old of acute Galeazzi fracture-dislocations (less than two weeks) confirmed by radiograph. Reducible and stable DRUJ approved by clinically tested intraoperatively with the forearm rotation. Being medically fit for undergoing surgery (American Society of Anesthesiologists [ASA] grade I, II, or III).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Open Galeazzi fracture-dislocations fracture Associated ipsilateral shoulder, forearm or hand injury Previous ipsilateral shoulder, forearm or hand surgery Previous ipsilateral impaired shoulder, forearm or hand surgery function Associated medical contraindication to propose methods of immobilization Associated head injury (Glasgow Coma Scale score of less than 12) Pathological fractures Associated ipsilateral neurovascular injury
