Interventions

Incision on the side of your abdomen and carefully separates soft tissues to access the degenerated lumbar vertebrae. The damaged vertebral bone or intervertebral disc is removed. A spacer with bone g
rods and plates are inserted to keep the graft in place. The bone graft helps in bone healing and fusion of the adjacent vertebrae. Following this&#44
care is taken to reposition the soft tissues carefully and the incision is closed.,&#45
The incision is made 4 to 5 cm from the midline at the level of the facet joint to be resected/fused &#45
The soft tissue is bluntly dissected with dilators and a tablemounted tubular retractor inserted to visualize the facet joint complex &#45
Microscopic visualization gives excellent magnification and illumination. This allows identification of the inferior articulating facet &#45
Using a high&#45
speed burr&#44
the inferior facet is resected &#45
The superior facet is resected from its tip down to the superior border of the pedicle &#45
The ligamentum flavum can now be resected to expose the disc within the foramen &#45
A thorough discectomy is then performed. Cartilage from the vertebral endplates is completely removed &#45
Bone graft is packed into the anterior portion of the discectomy space &#45
A structural implant filled with additional bone graft&#44

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Spondylolisthesis grade 1-2 level between L2-S1 2. 1 level spinal fusion 3. Failed conservative treatment 4. Decided to participate in study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Previous spine surgery 2. Spinal infection, tumor 3. Uncooperative 4. Can't follow up thorough study 5. Pregnant or breastfeeding patient
