Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (a) spinal metastasis of 1-3 vertebral bodies, (b) Tomita classification type 1 to 6 (and occasionally 7), and (c) predicted survival of more than 3 months based on a revised Tokuhashi score(15) and Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) score(16, 17) of 4 or less
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: with involvement of more than three vertebral bodies, extensive soft tissue extension, vital vascular structure invasion, and unresectable multiple organ metastasis were excluded.
