Obese patients were randomized to recieve Hydroxycitric Acid combined with lifestyle modification for 2 months to achieve weight loss.
(1 cap oral TID,
each capsule consist of 500 mg Hydroxycitric Acid),Obese patients were randomized to recieve placebo combined with lifestyle modification for 2 months to achieve weight loss.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Obese patient (BMI at least 25 kg/m2) 2. Age 20-60 year
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy or lactation 2. Obesity from genetic condition, or endocrine condition 3. Heart disease 4. Diabetes 5. Cirrhosis 6. Chronic kidney disease, GFR < 45 7. Current alcohol drinking or herbal use 8. Statin user 9. Receiving FDA anti-obesity medication 10. Psychiatric disorder 11. Neurological disorder 12. Other active medical condition such as COPD, SLE 13. Unable to comply with lifestyle modification 14. Hyperkalemia or hypercalemia
