Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients who underwent total or completion thyroidectomy
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who have parathyroid diseases of hypoparathyroidism preoperatively 2. Abnormal serum calcium (normal range 8.5-10.2 mg/dl) 3. Abnormal serum phosphate (normal range 2.5-4.5 mg/dl) 4. Abnormal serum magnesium (normal range 1.32-2.14 mEq/L) 5. Abnormal creatinine clearance >60 ml/min 6. Abnormal liver function (Total bilirubin >1.5 mg/dl, AST >40 U/L, ALT >41 U/L, alkaline phosphatase >129 U/L) 7. Patients with underlying heart diseases 8. Patients who currently breast feeding or pregnancy 9. Patients who have calcium or vitamin D as current medications
