Inclusion criteria: Patients with signs and symptoms suggested of sepsis were enrolled.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients admitted due to re-infection, pregnancy, patients referred from other clinics or hospitals, patients lost to follow-up, incomplete medical records, and patients without infection in their final diagnosis.
