Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: age of 18–70 years&#44;displaced clavicular midshaft fracture (no cortical contact betweenthe medial and distal fragment and/or >2&#45;cm shortening)&#44;Fit for surgery ASA classification<3&#44;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: time to surgery > 3 weeks&#44;An associated scapular fracture (floating shoulder)&#44;bilateral clavicular fracture&#44; associated neurovascular injury&#44; open fracture&#44; pathological fracture&#44; contraindication to surgery(alcoholic abuse&#44;uncontrol psychiatric problem and epilepsy)&#44;and patient ineligibility for follow&#45;up.
