Interventions

These type are devices or equipment that are attached to the teeth&#44

cannot be removed by the patient and are capable of causing tooth movement. Braces is the most common fixed appliances. Braces component consist of bands&#44

wires and/or brackets. Bands are fixed around the teeth functioned as anchorages for the appliances. The front of tooth is commonly bonded with bracket. Arch wires are passed through the brackets and

custom&#45

made thermoplastic tray to straightening teeth. These invisible aligners are made to fit tightly with the patients&#39

teeth. In order for the process to be successful&#44

every aligners should be worn for at least 22 hours each day&#44

and changed with a new set of aligners every 2 weeks to continue the process of teeth straightening treatment. This means that patient should only be removing the aligners for eating&#44

brushing&#44

and flossing.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria are as following: >15 years of age, Class I skeletal pattern, non-extraction treatment, and no intervention planned with extraoral and other intraoral appliances within the first 6 months of treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria are patients with any systemic diseases or physical limitation, craniofacial anomalies such as a cleft lip and palate, severe skeletal discrepancy requiring orthognathic surgery, untreated dental caries, poor periodontal status as indicated by a Community Periodontal Index score of 3 or more, and poor compliance.
