18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Were 18-80 years old 2.Were diagnosed with intertrochanteric fracture confirmed by radiographs or computerized tomography. 3.Had a recent fracture, defined as a fracture that occurred within the preceding 21 days. 4.Planned to undergo closed reduction surgery with proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA). 5.Were ambulant prior to the fracture event.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Had open fractures. 2.Had pathologic fractures. 3.Had multiple fractures or multiple injuries. 4.Had contraindications for surgery. 5.Had concurrent infection, either acute or chronic. 6.Were currently on chemotherapy or hormonal therapy. 7.Were pregnant. 8.Refused surgery.
