Interventions

The first phase is the educational phase. In this phase&#44
the intervention was divided into the educational lectures&#44
on exposure and group discussions. Phase one target was to change the perception (perceived severity and perceived susceptibility) of the participants on WRI. Half day interactive session was held to
ergonomics&#44
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for NSI and chemical handling. The expectations would include the benefits&#44
barriers and the participants’ perceived efficacy towards acquisition of the good practice. Phase two focused on the continuity of action among participants after phase one. E&#45
mails and Watsapp messages was sent out weekly to the participants for four consecutive weeks to serve as reminder of the desired action and its importance.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: HCWs working in the selected hospital for more than 1 year

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) HCWs on leave or not available during the duration of study b) HCWs who are pregnant
