Eligibility

Sex/Gender

Age
18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age 18-80 years 2.Admitted to medicine department or MICU of KCMH 3.Intubated for more than 48 hours and extubated less than 48 hours 4.Adequate oxygen saturation with low flow oxygen 1-5 L/min 5.Modified water swallowing test score more than 3

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Delirium / Poor cooperation 2.Refuse to be included in the study 3.Has contraindication for enteral feeding 4.Cerebrovascular disease or muscle weakness 5.Head and neck cancer 6.Structural abnormalities or history of surgery within oral cavity or pharyngeal area Previous diagnosis with dysphagia 7.Skin lesion which interfere with submental EMG monitoring 8.Has contraindication for low or high flow oxygen cannula 9.Has Automated Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator or Permanent Pacemaker
