Interventions

COPD patients with smoking history more than 10 pack-years or more and post-bronchodilator FEV1/FVC less than 70%.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. age 40 to 80 years 2. smoking history is 10 pack-years or more 3. post-bronchodilator FEV1/FVC < 70%

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. recent COPD exacerbation 2. eye surgery or abdominal surgery within 6 weeks 3. inability to walk or failure to not cooperate in walking 4. O2 saturation < 90% in resting stage 5. blood pressure below 90/60 or above 180/100 mmHg prior to testing 6. heart rate less than 50 or more than 120 beats per minute 7. disease other than COPD; e.g. lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis, and pulmonary tuberculosis, myocardial infarction
