Intrasynovial technique
The involved digit is placed in the semi-
flexed position.
The No.26 gauge needle is introduced at a 45 degree angle through the skin,
flexor tendon sheath and advanced only a few millimeters into the flexor tendon.
The involved digit is actively or passively extended. With this maneuver,
the flexor tendon,
not the needle,
glides distally and the needle tip usually slip out of the tendon and stay in the interval between tendon sheath and tendon.
Confirm by feeling of fluid flow along the flexor tendon sheath
gradual an

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patient older than 20 years of age who have primary trigger finger grade II, IIIA and IIIB based on the Green classification
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Underlying inflammatory joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or gouty arthritis Dupuytren’s disease Diabetic mellitus Injury to the involved digit history of an allergy to triamcinolone acetonide or lidocaine previous treatment of the involved digit with steroid injection
