Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ASA physical status I and II, with airway assessment of Mallampati grade 1 and 2, between the age group of 18-60 years, scheduled for elective surgeries under general anesthesia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: unwilling patients, history of allergy to any drug, history of bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, respiratory tract infection, impaired kidney or liver function, on angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, a history of hypersensitivity to local anesthetics, pregnancy and language barrier.
