Conditions

Myofascial Pain Syndrome of Upper Trapezius Self&#45

Interventions

Self&#45
ischemic pressure The self&#45
ischemic pressure applied to MTrP using a T&#45
shaped wood stick with 2 knobs placed at tips on the cane. The cane designed to create sustained pressure in hard&#45
reach areas. Holding a T&#45
shaped wood stick over the primary MTrP (Fig.1) then applied gradually increasing pressure to the MTrP until feeling moderate pain 60 seconds. The participant was advised to repeat the process until o
ischemic pressure twice a day. After that participant performed self&#45
sustained stretching. ,Self&#45
sustained stretching performed each of the following muscles stretch (Fig.2)
upper trapezius&#44
posterior neck&#44
middle trapezius&#44
rhomboid&#44
pectoral&#44
and upper back muscles holding each for 30&#45
60 seconds. Each participant was instructed to sit near the edge of an armless chair with both feet firmly planted on the floor. Participants received instruction to perform these exercises 10 times e
twice a day.
