Interventions
Participants allocated to the intervention group received a structured theoretical education programme conducted by the researcher. A weekly session for four weeks,
and then followed by a monthly session for three months. ,Participants allocated to the control group received general practice care arranged by health professional team of a primary care setting

18 Years to 60 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Thai adults aged 18-60 years old - Diagnosis with T2DM at least 12 months prior to start the study - Able to communicate; speak, read and write with Thai language fluently - Able to provide written informed consent for participation
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Have been diagnosed with co-morbidities - A lack of communication or cognitive dysfunction - Require supports on their daily lives by other persons or care givers - Transient migration from other communities - Informed consent not provided.
