18 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age > 18 years Newly diagnosed or known hypertension (BP > 140/90 mmHg)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Secondary hypertension Curable hypertension History of previous diuretic use ALT > 2X UNL Cr > 1.5 mg/dl SBP > 180/110 mmHg Participants in other study Pregnancy Unable to follow-up History of gout or serum uric acid > 10 mg/dl
