Patients who visit the Emergency Department from 1 June 2018 to 31 August 2018&#44
prior to the implementation of NEWS as a sepsis trigger tool&#44
were included in the pre&#45
intervention group,Patients visiting from 1 October 2018 to 31 December 2018&#44
after the implementation of NEWS as a sepsis screening tool&#44
were included in the post&#45
intervention group. The inclusion criteria are the following: patients with NEWS >= 5 with suspected sepsis from a medical condition&#44

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients with NEWS >= 5 with suspected sepsis from a medical condition, aged 18 years or older

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients referred from another hospital without available medical records, patients requiring emergency surgery, patients discharged from the Emergency Department, patients with misdiagnosis, patients who have received antibiotics within the last 30 days, or patients and/or guardians refusing or are unable to consent to participate in the research

door-to-IV bolus time, door-to-laboratory (lab) taken time, lactate clearance, time to admission 1 day case record form,hospital LOS, ICU LOS, ventilator use, 28-day mortality rate. 100 day case record form
