Interventions
After monitoring peripheral capillary oxygen saturation,
non-
invasive blood pressure,
heart rate (HR) and bispectral index (BIS),
induction was performed with 2.5 mg/kg propofol,
2 mcg/kg fentanyl and 0.6 mg/kg rocuronium,
and the patients were intubated. Anaesthesia was maintained by administering a mixture of 50% oxygen and 5%–7% desflurane in air at a flow rate of 2 L/min with 0.05–0.5 mcg/kg/min remifentanyl inf
tidal CO2 level between 30 and 35. Immediately after induction,
20 mL normal saline containing 1 mg/kg ketamine was intravenously administered. Postoperative sedation/agitation level at emergence,
incidence of cough were recorded. Vital signs and sedation/agitation and pain levels were recorded at 10-
min intervals for 30 min in the recovery unit.,After monitoring peripheral capillary oxygen saturation,
tidal CO2 level between 30 and 35.20 mL normal saline was intravenously administered in 10 min. Postoperative sedation/agitation level at emergence,
