Consumption of standard solution containing 25g of glucose&#44
with measurements of blood glucose before&#44

90min&#44
and 120min after consuming standard glucose solution. For each individual subject&#44
glucose AUC from 2 separate visits are averaged and then used to compare with study food.,Consumption of study food containing 25g of glucose&#44
and 120min after consuming study food. One visit is required for each subject.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: No food allergy If taking any of the following medications, the medication dosage must have been stable for > 1 month before study participation: aspirin, vitamins, supplementary food, anti-hypertensives, drugs for osteoporosis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of food allergy Use of thyroid hormone Pregnancy or lactation History of diabetes or use of glucose-lowering medications including insulin Serious illness requiring hospitalization within 3 months prior to study initiation Diseases affecting digestion or absorption of food such as recent gastrointestinal surgery, inflammatory bowel disease i.e. Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis Use of medications affecting blood glucose levels, including but not limited to steroids, anti-retrovirals, and antipsychotics

glycemic index 2 time points for 25g glucose, 1 time point for study food glucose area under the curve after consumption of study snack relative to 25g of glucose
