A total of consecutive patients diagnosed as unilateral non&#45
arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy by neuro&#45
ophthalmologist in Songklanagarind Hospital between January 2015 through December 2020 were evaluated in the study.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) History of a sudden onset of painless vision loss (2) VF defect confined to only one hemifield consistent with NAION (3) Optic disc edema at onset that was confirmed by at least one neuro-ophthalmology expert (4) no evidence of other ocular diseases such as glaucoma, arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, optic neuritis, or coexisting retinal pathologies that may cause the visual symptoms or affected retinal and choroidal vascular. (5) resolution of the initial optic disc and retinal edema at least 3 month after acute optic disc swelling.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients age younger than 20 years or older than 80 years (2) previous intraocular surgery (3) Patients with poor image quality including images with poor clarity, motion artifact, and scans with signal strength index of <40 were excluded. (4)Patients with unreliable visual field e.g. fixation losses and false-positive and false-negative results more than 33% were excluded. (5)Refractive error greater than +3.0 diopters (D) or less than - 6.0 D (6)Refractive error greater than 5.0 D of spherical equivalent or 3.0 D of astigmatism.
