Interventions

<37 weeks gestational period and birth weight infants ≤2.500g,≥ 37 weeks gestational period,patients who underwent tooth extraction due to the orthodontic reasons.

Age
18 Years to 35 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Presence of at least 20 teeth in their mouth and at least two teeth with >5mm probing depth and clinical attachment loss; no history of initial periodontal therapy including scaling and root planing at least six weeks prior to the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women presenting risk factors to preterm/low&#45;birth&#45;weight: history of diseases including diabetes mellitus&#44; genitourinary tract infections or HIV infection&#44; previous multiple gestations&#44; previous preterm birth/low&#45;birth&#45;weight infants&#44; in vitro fertilization procedures&#44; placental or cervical or uterine abnormalities&#44; history of infertility&#44; history of illegal drug use&#44; history of human immunodefficiency virus type I or hemoglobin levels less than 8 mg/dl following delivery and medical conditions that required antibiotics prophylaxis.
