Interventions
The present study employed the nonequivalent pretest–posttest quasi-
experimental design with an experimental group,
which received the SEM method,
and a control group,
which received the direct instruction method. A team cohesion scale pretest was conducted on the experimental and control groups before the start of the experimental course,
and a posttest of the same scale was conducted after the 10-
week experimental course.,The present study employed the nonequivalent pretest–posttest quasi-
week experimental course.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants in this study were third-year students at a Taiwanese university. To mitigate the interference of irrelevant variables, students who had not received prior SEM teaching were the main target for recruitment.

Exclusion criteria: Sports team student
