Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Healthy men were recruited from the internal medicine and health care staff of Naresuan University Hospital. The inclusion criteria were men, age 20-60 years old; having normal renal and hepatic function tests.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were history of gout, hypertension, heart rate more than100 beat/min, history of ischemic heart disease and arrhythmia; use of medication including ACEI or ARB, ethambutol, pyrazinamide, aspirin, cyclosporine, nicotinic acid, loop diuretic, etc. or nutritional supplement including vitamin C that affect the SUA level; estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) less than 60 mL/min/1.73m2; abnormal serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and/or alanine transaminase (ALT); and 15% or more change in SUA during the control period(day0 to day7). However, if participants who be included and take coffee tablet have any serious side effects including severe disturbed normal sleep pattern, severe headache, blood pressure more than140/90mmHg and heart rate more than 100 beat/min or arrhythmia , the participants will be withdrawal from this protocol.
