Interventions
The participants were enrolled to the 3-
week MNT program designed by a registered dietitian. In general hospital,
patients receive diet with the carbohydrate:protein:fat ratio of 50:20:30. In the present study,
the carbohydrate:protein:fat ratio of the MNT diet is 55:15:30 with soy milk and supplemented black seasame. The diet is calculated for 2,
300 Kcal/day and served 3 times/day. The consumed portion of the diet is used to calculate for energy and nutrients on daily basis.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Schizophrenia patients admitted to the hospital between September-December 2018 with age ≥ 18 years old, consuming provided oral MNT, ability to communicate and self-care, and informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: gastrointestinal diseases and physical complications.
