Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were patients aged > 18 years who were admit to the Department of Internal Medicine with signs and symptoms of UGIH inclusion criteria: melena, coffee ground vomitus, hematemesis and/or hematochezia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included: (1) patients who did not undergo esophagogastroduodenoscope (EGD) within 72 hours after onset of admission (2) patients with history of UGIH in part 3 months (3) patients diagnosed non-UGIH after the diagnostic workup (4) patients with incomplete data required for calculation of either of three scores (5) patients who had received treatment at other institutions (6) patients who declined to provide informed consent for the study.
