Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: postherpetic neuralgia patients with pain VAS score ≥ 3 consulted for and received acupunctured treatment during January 2010 – December 2017 were retrieved.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients visited less than 2 appointed treatment sessions, receiving concurrent alternative treatment e.g. cupping method, co-intervention of both needle types and incomplete record of pain VAS scores were excluded from study.
