In a cross-
sectional study in the form of a communicational design during July to September 2014,
100 dysthymic patients (72 male and 28 female patients) were randomly selected from the men and women referring to the counseling centers of Tehran through respondent-
driven sampling method and were entered into research process after acquiring the inclusion and exclusion criteria and obtaining informed consent.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) age range of 18-50 years; 2) diagnosis of depressive disorder by means of scores in the depression scale and semi-structured clinical interview; 3) residence in Tehran and the suburbs with a deviation of 30 square kilometers from center, and 4) obtaining informed consent to participate in the research.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) to diagnose any psychiatric disorder that is consistent with depression; 2) head trauma or experience any trauma within one year until the study; and 3) use of any psychotherapy drug that effects on the memory function.
